I learned so much from this great experience . To begin with the curved form of this museum in line with the coloured box reflect un linkinge between two typologies of architecture vis a vis cultural heritage site.
Excellent collection and beautifully curated. An exceptional museum!
wonderful comprehensive beautifully exhibited shows. The Mexico exhibit is the agonizingly powerful history of conquer, killing and all but ending an ancient way of life. The permanent collection is vast and breathtaking.
A new, outstanding museum, with interesting architecture, a lovely garden, and a very rich and fascinating collection of indigenous art from all over the world. Don't miss!
The Musee Branley is an exquisite work of architecture with an ambiance which envelops the visitor in the warm colors and lively intelligence of the artists who have created the works of world cultures here on display.

A must-visit — but go in with open eyes
The Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac is one of Paris's most striking cultural spaces, and honestly, one I'd urge everyone to experience. The architecture alone is jaw-dropping, and the sheer breadth and beauty of the collection — spanning Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas — is breathtaking.
That said, let's be honest about what we're looking at: the vast majority of these objects were taken — through colonization, coercion, and extraction — from the communities that created them. Walking through these halls is a powerful experience precisely because you hold that history alongside the beauty. Don't let the sleek design lull you into forgetting it.
On the practical side: the temporary exhibitions are included in the regular entry ticket, which is a genuinely great deal and not to be missed. The store is a treasure trove of carefully curated pieces that are far more thoughtful than your average museum shop. And the café? Fantastic food — a real surprise.
Come curious, come critical, and come hungry. Five stars — with full awareness of what those stars carry.
No Mona Lisa here, but a stunning collection of art from around the world that will make your eyes pop out of your head. It makes you see how formulaic much of Western art is, and why Picasso was so excited to discover the masks of West Africa.
Excellent. I have been here three times before and this visit Will not be the last one. I love this place and I look forewards next visit.
One of the top surprises of my week in Paris. A great counterbalance to the fantastic western art collections to be found in Paris this museum wants you to totally immerse yourself in its grand and all encompassing concept. And after a few minutes, you want to do it too!
This is a very enjoyable museum, interesting collection, easy to access, nice grounds and location, excellent cafe and restaurant. I visit it every time I go to Paris
I went to see the bronzes from West Africa and found so many other things of beauty and heritage. The Native American ceremonial clothing was something I had never seen before.
Saw the exquisite Kehinde Wiley exhibition; fantastic paintings of leaders of various countries in Africa. Beautifully curated but you have to be careful in the dimly-lit (for effect) recesses….make sure when turning the corner, you aren’t walking into netting ( as I mistakenly did).
Magnificent collection. Stunning and extensive. Well worth a visit—it’s right next to the Eiffel Tower.
This museum is so worth the time and attention....the curation, the display, the placement of seats and places to sit/rest, the short videos, the signage for directions makes for a very high quality experience. You learn a lot about the rich cultures of the people of the world. Highly recommend it.
Wonderful!
Such a beautiful museum: the structure and pieces, we loved it all!
The library is a gem :)
Superb!! Amazing museum, the collection is impressive and well preserved. I Love it , it transported me towards this civilizations.
Magic Gardens and magic exhibitions. The installation "River", on which you actually tread on your way to the permanent exhibition is fun and very dynamic.
Get the audio as it really makes a difference. The staff were very patient & kind!
Thank you for this experience!
The museum is a must! Amazing and unique pieces! Surrounded by art!
Exquisite! Wonderful exhibition, I learned a lot about The Black Indians that I didn’t know about..
Very nice exhibition (Madagascar,) not many visitors even on a saturday so I could take my time and view everything, beautiful museum.
Excellent!
Wonderful stroll through modern art in a classic XIX century surrounding!
Really enjoyed it but didn’t have enough time to see everything that interested me. The landscaping and architecture offer a stunning entree to the museum itself. The Black Indians exhibit was well done and very educational.
I was in panick because I did not specify the time for the exibition, website not so easy to manage. However, everything went smooth.
Very interesting and educative, líke always! Always when We visit París we look out for what Branly has to offer.
